Art Therapy
Art can heal and enhance life. Longmont United Hospital has embraced this concept by offering our patients and visitors a unique experience in the arts. Fine art pieces are prominent throughout the hospital enhancing our desirable and state of the art hospital. Creating art and talking about it can increase awareness of self, aid in coping and relieve stress. We have joined forces with the Longmont Council for the Arts and the St. Vrain Valley School District to display art pieces from local artists on the walls of our ArtWalk.
Art also enhances healing of our patients through their own works. We offer art therapy through a mobile arts and crafts station, “Art the Cart.” Art the Cart provides patients and visitors the supplies to produce their own creations in the privacy of the patient room or in one of our many patient and family lounges.
